Executive Assistant, SNMH Foundation

Shawn Ryley joined the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation in 2024, bringing with him forty years of professional experience and a deep commitment to the Grass Valley community. As Executive Assistant and Volunteer Recruiter, he serves as a bridge between the Foundation’s operational goals and its most valuable asset: its volunteers.

Shawn’s career is as diverse as it is accomplished. From his nine years of corporate leadership at Telestream Inc. to his creative work as a sports journalist for NBA.com and Yahoo Sports, Shawn has always been a communicator at heart. His time in advertising at The Union further solidified his ability to connect with people and tell impactful stories—skills he now uses to advocate for the patients and staff at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

A CSU-Sacramento alumnus with a degree in Journalism, Shawn finds great fulfillment in his role, ensuring the Foundation remains a cornerstone of support for the local community he calls home.
