The Falls Prevention Coalition of Nevada County is thrilled to announce this year's Falls Prevention Summit: "Pride Before the Fall"! Join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Sierra Presbyterian Church on Ridge Road in Nevada City, CA.
This highly anticipated event is free to the public and consistently fills up fast. We anticipate record attendance this year! The Summit offers a wealth of valuable material and information in a fun and informative environment, serving as a crucial service to help prevent falls in our community.

- Keynote Presentation: Susan Claydon, NP, will discuss Dementia and other conditions impacting balance
- Special Acknowledgment: Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
- First Responders Presentation: Learning to identify critical signs after a fall
- Understanding Balance: Exploring how hearing, sight, and gait influence stability
- On-site Services: Blood Pressure and Balance Screenings available
